Get cold food latly, waitress never came back to check in until the Bill came. UGH
The menu said swiss and cheddar on the patty-melt, itshows up with swiss and american. I tell the waitress about it and she looks dumbfounded. 5 minutes later she comes back with a slice of cheddar on a plate and sets it next to me. I'm not sure who is dumber, the cook that doesn't know the difference between cheddar cheese and american cheese, or the waitress that thinks a slice of cheddar cheese on a plate will solve the issue. Pathetic...
Carbone's in New Prague has good pizza, but it's super salty. The pasta sauce is tasteless, and the salads other than the cobb salad has tasteless dressing. I always loved the original Carbone's near Metro College. This is close to the pizza their famous for, but that's it. Even their tea is watered down. That's what just about anything that isn't pizza tastes like. Oh yeah, the beer is pretty good too, but they don't carry Stella Artouis. With the competition nearby of Pizza Ranch and Fishtale, Carbone's could have it all sewed up if it revamped it's menu to taste like really great food, rather than tasteless food. Sorry so critical, but I have had really great tasting food and I'm so tired of food that lacks love.
It was a nice place. Good food but a little over priced for the area. The food was pretty authentic Italian.
Wow....... first we walk in the door to a less then enthused host who we had to say "table for 2" 3 times before she woke up enough to seat us. We then got to wait 20 minutes before anyone came up and got a drink order and at that point placed our food order too. The drinks came out 10 minutes or so after we ordered then our food came out later and it was ....... pretty pitiful, but with the small amount of chicken in my chicken wrap and over seasoned bloody Mary I was satisfied enough to leave. However we then hear from the table next to us that it's 2 for 1's! What the hell??? okay thanks for letting us know. So as we drink our drinks I am writing this review. They are very evidently under staffed and poorly managed with poor standards. My only regret is not just sitting at the bar where the service could maybe have been better.
